Server3: Taking server offline for NIC check/replace
It appears the NIC (Network Interface Card) on server3 is failing. We are able to connect to the server and all services are working properly, however connectivity sporadically is going in and out for the last 24-48 hours. We have investigated and ruled out any software issues, firewall configuration issues, scripts, or web sites. Our conclusion so far is that the NIC is failing and needs to be checked/replaced.
Our data center technicians are in the process of bringing the server down so they can run hardware diagnostics on the NIC. This may take as little as 30 min up to possibly a few hours to complete, depending on their findings. If the card is determined to be faulty, it will be swapped out and then the server will be put back into service. We are sorry for any trouble this issue has caused you and assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to return the server to proper working order.
