Hi, the 'www' is just a link to the public_html folder, so you only actually need to put it in the public_html folder once.
If it still not working, could you submit a support ticket to us telling us your domain name, the URL to the folder (or is it in the main domain URL?) of where you have tha .htaccess, what its contents are and what it is supposed to do, etc, and we'd be glad to help!
